Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Testing Engineer (Mid-Level) located in Cairo, Egypt. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that high quality software is being released, which includes various types of testing like functional, regression, performance, usability and integration testing. Additionally, they will be responsible for logging defects, providing test reports, and working closely with software developers to understand the software requirements and provide critical feedback.

- Contribute to the development and execution of testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design, create, and execute detailed test cases based on project specifications and user stories.
- Perform manual testing to validate software functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with the automation testing team to support the development and execution of automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand project requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Participate in regression testing to validate that new code changes do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date testing documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and testing results.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and testing best practices to enhance skills and contribute effectively.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of agile methodologies is a plus.
